Hardap Dam
This is the biggest reservoir in Namibia with a water surface area of 25 km˛ in extent when full and the prime location for Namibia's fast developing water sports like angling, skiing and the International Triathlon. . The reservoir dams the Fish River, the only river in the country’s interior that flows. The Hardap Dam also is home to numerous examples of wildlife of Namibia. Visitors to the dam are welcome to drive to the small game park adjacent to the dam. Unfortunately the accommodation and restaurant facilities at the Hardap Dam Resort are closed due to upgrading. Luckily Bastion Farmyard is only 9km away!

Directions
Bastion Farmyard is 14 km north of Mariental on the B1 National Road.
Turn off at sign BASTION FARMYARD 1km (west).
Follow the tourist information signs.
Cross channel.
Drive 700m straight forward. Bastion Farmyard is on the left. Farm 48 Hardap Irrigation Scheme.
